How Hearts scoring works here
Each heart is 1 point and the queen of spades is 13, so every hand adds up to 26. The tool checks the total before it adds the hand. When someone reaches the target (100 by default), the lowest score wins.
Questions
What is shooting the moon in Hearts?
Taking all the hearts and the queen of spades in one hand. Instead of scoring 26, the player who did it gives 26 points to everyone else. Some groups let them take 26 off their own score instead; choose which under the entry boxes.
Why must a hand add up to 26?
There are 13 hearts worth 1 point each and the queen of spades worth 13, so the points in one hand always total 26.
Does lowest score win in Hearts?
Yes. The game ends when someone reaches the target, and the player with the fewest points wins.
